Welcome

As a lifelong learner or teacher, you have encountered many puzzling issues and complexities related to learning and teaching about the technological and industrial world. A viable strategy for understanding these issues and eventually resolving educational problems is to engage in an inquiry (research) process.

ITEDU 699: Research in Industrial Education is a graduate course designed to help you become an informed consumer and designer of educational research, especially as it relates to applying research to Technology Education or Career and Technical Education. The ITEDU 699 Syllabus provides specific information about the course goals, content outline, activities, and resources.

ITEDU 699 is a three credit online course offered within the Department of Technology at Ball State University. Graduate students pursuing a Master of Arts in Technology Education or Career and Technical Education are required to take this course. However, all lifelong learners with an interest in educational research are welcome to join the course.

Model of Instruction

When making a decision to take an online course, you should consider whether your learning preferences and the instructor's teaching style are compatible. The Model of Learning & Teaching describes the instructor's vision of teaching and learning in ITEDU 699.
